Very Texas Accomplishments

Participant in the 42nd Annual Smithsonian Folk life Festival 2008

Very Texas was honored this year with an invitation to participate in the prestigious Smithsonian Folk life Festival, located at the National Mall in Washington D.C. To take part in this significant event was inspiring; allowing us the venue to promote the wares of our own Very Texas artisans and their individual talents. Very Texas submitted select items made from leather, glass, wood and wrought iron; representing while celebrating, the heritage of our rich Texas history. The festival ran from June 25-29 and July 2-6, 2008.

This year's theme was:

Bhutan: Land of the Thunder Dragon
Celebrating Bhutan's special approach towards life in the 21st century.

NASA: Fifty Years and Beyond
Showcasing the role that the men and women of NASA have played in broadening the horizons of American science and culture.

Texas: A Celebration of Music, Food and Wine
Exploring a dynamic and creative society, built upon rich natural resources, thriving cosmopolitan cities and engaging rural landscapes.
